Avataar -- 3D --

I guess the hype and hoopla created for the movie is quiet well deserving specially for an audience who is experiencing 3d cinema for the first time, just like me.
So today i went with the herd and like some of them came back and decided to write a blog bout it. But i guess something somewhere remained unfulfilled from what i had expected.
I think a great movie is coined great when all the different elements come together and all of them are a masterpiece in themselves. James Cameroon ... hats off to this guy, there's no doubt that he is amongst the league of best directors of our times. Guys at Weta as usual were able to create new benchmarks in the world of computer graphics. They put me to shame when i say ' ohh .. 3d i know 3d too'.
Im a person who whenever gets time, likes to watch trailers whether they are of upcoming cg movies or upcoming game trailers or even personal cg reels of individual artists. It may have been that james cameroon waited for the technology to evolve, in the present times it isn't imposible to create Pandora.
The movie is a visual treat and the direction will give you a killer high. The creativity put into creating pandora with the kind of creatures, the kind environments, habitats etc hmm ... it was good but i wont coin it as outstanding, just because i have been experiencing such worlds in pieces in other peoples works. However those pieces seem to come together and gel in and form Pandora. I guess we can only evolve step by step and not by taking a giant leap, moreover such even if such leaps do occur they often result in disasters because of there premature occurrence.
My question here is where is the next step of story-telling.. script. Theres this alien planet where humans do mining and for there own good, the evil organisation decides to root out mother nature and her children. So our hero, the saviour, in the end fights and saves the world as mr. frodo baggins did or Mr Bond ..James bond has been doing . Apart from the whole movie the funny part was when the hero asks for help from mother nature and then charges without any clever strategy. He dives on with his army of bows and arrows in front of an elite force which specialises in mechanised warfare. In lord of the rings the war was won with the help of a ghost army and in avataar it was won by the aid of mother nature.
As a child who is first introduced to television or a gaming console gives up everything else to experience the charms of the new world of entertainment, just like that we must remember that 3d is just a medium, a tool a new canvas and one should be aware that while using it we shouldn't allow it to overpower ones creative thought process. I came across this movie called MOON and i personally felt that yes the steps of evolution in story writing are being taken, however a staunch reader of Isaac Asimov might not agree with me. In any case we need to grow over this new toy called 3d and maybe exploit new and far more challenging dimensions in the never ending, blissful world of story telling.

54 hrs 3600 mts above sea level 1070 km It was friday evening when the urge for a roadtrip reached its maximum limit inside me i couldnt bear this overabundance of emotions. Like always guru was game for it, he only had one issue he had to reach office by 10 on monday morning. With valley of flowers as our final destination ( which got changed to joshimath just 30 km before ) and with tormenting urge to just leave delhi we started from delhi at 1 am on friday night (technically saturday). We did the whole trip and as usual it was a very satisfying trip with a lot of incidents happening one after the other, how we reached and how we came back is a different story all together but i would rather like to share the most adventures and dangerous hrs of my life with you. We had to reach our final destination of joshimath by sat evening and there we were about 30 to 40 km from it when the road was blocked by the locals over some dispute. We had stopped at a pastoral outlook when i noticed the...
